Kidney function: Vitamin B - 6 (pyridoxal phosphate), like all B vitamins is water soluble and is excreted in the urine from the kidneys. If your kidney function is decreased, this would decrease the excretion of Vitamin B - 6 and threrfore raise the blood level of vitamin B - 6. Your doctor should evaluate your kidney function and make sure that your blood pressure and any blood sugar problems are well control
