Fairly accurate: White blood cells can appear in the urine for many reasons, including bladder infection, irritation of the urethra, inflammation of the bladder (cystitis), genital rashes or inflammation due to hygiene issues or retained debris.

Hi I had a urine test and had positive leukocyte esterase. No other symptoms. Can it mean anything other than a UTI or could it be lab error?
