Not really but...: A check-up and cleaning at the dentist is really a good idea to keep the gum tissue and teeth healthy. Normally, no x-rays should be taken during the first trimester (3 months,) unless an emergency where an x-ray has to be taken. But using a lead apron and thyroid protection is imperative.

Congrats: Congratulation on your baby. there should not be any issues with seeing your dentist during the pregnancy. If you do need any dental work to be done, the second trimester is the best time to have it done. Good news, teeth move faster with braces while your pregnant.
