Gall bladder: Right upper quadrant pain and fever could signal gall bladder (GB) inflammation or infection, and narcotics like codeine can precipitate GB problems. Pneumonia also can cause upper abdominal pain and fever. Please see a doctor for examination and appropriate tests.
