Amoebiasis: A very large percentage of travels to this region of the world are exposed to entamoeba histolytica. Most traveler's diarrhea is, however, due to e. Coli. Woudl definitely go and get your stool examined for amoebiasis and treated if positive since extraintestinal disease with this protozoan can be very severe.
