PPI and anemia: Studies have noted that PPI use can be associated with a decrease in Hgb and HCT. PPI use decreases stomach acidity which is important for iron absorprtion. Iron is needed for red blood cells. In addition there may be B12 deficiency even with normal B12 levels as B12 needs pepsin which requires gastric acid to cleave B12 from protein. B12 is needed to make red blood cells. Discuss with your doctor

Not likely: PPIs do not cause anemia but any ulcerations in the stomach(for which you are taking this medication) can certainly cause anemia. get your doctor to sort it all out for you in case you have significant degree of Anemia.
