I've been reading a fecal transplant may help ibs/sibo. is this worth trying? can it be dangerous in any way assuming the donor is healthy?

Worth trying: if the donor is indeed healthy then the only real other risk is the risk of the procedure - which at your 35y/o is indeed minimal. if you're really unhappy with your bowel issues, well worth trying. Find a reputable center though, and preferably one that engages in research.

Can I request a fecal transplant from my doctor for non-C. difficile intestinal issues? Recent studies showing great success in IBS/ulcerative colitis patients. Wouldn't hurt to try it?

Why don't they check for SIBO with every patient who has IBS? The symptoms are similar. I had to find about it myself and see an outside doctor.
