See specialist: Diplopia could be a neurological sign. Is the eye doctor an optometrist or an ophthalmologist? If the eye doctor you saw is an optometrist, he/she should have referred you to an ophthalmologist. If it was an ophthalmologisth who did not find anything wrong, you may need to see a neurologist. Your family doctor should be the one to sort it out and send you to the right specialist.

Another specialist: If you are in a large metropolitan area, then then best specialist to see is a neuro-ophthalmologist; specialists in the interaction between the eye function and the brain. Unless you had recent trauma, diplopia at your age could be serious and needs to be evaluated as soon as possible.
