Exercise: The best non-prescription treatment for depression and anxiety is exercise and a healthy diet with a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables. Exercise alone can raise the chemicals in the brain that help ward off depression. That is far better than a supplement. You also just plain feel a tad better after exercise because you are doing what you can do to help treat and control symptoms. Go walk!
