If you have a: relative who was on either of these meds, or a different one, you can ask/him her. If a sib or other close relative found a med helpful it raises the probability that you will also. Otherwise, just continue to trust your doc. Peace and good health.

Either medication: is fine. Luvox has one FDA indication - Obsessive Compulsive disorder (OCD). Zoloft (sertraline) has a number of indications including OCD. If you are paying for the medication yourself - the zoloft (sertraline) is likely to be less expensive. Take care.
