A member asked:

How long does it take for bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) to take down a swollen gland in the neck ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Lymphadenopathy: Bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) is an antibiotic combination that will treat some infections. The swollen lymph node is the body's reaction to an inflammation which may have been the infection you are treating, but how fast it recedes will have little to do with the treatment.
