See MD asap: Not my 1st choice of antibiotic. Especially since we can't personally examine you, and know nothing about your medical and dental history, i would recommend that you see a physician (your own pcp, 24/7 emergency medical facility or er of an emergency room) asap. It's always better to be safe than sorry. These things can go downhill quickly. It's also better to have someone drive or accompany you.

Seek help now: You have cause for concern. This needs to be attended to by dentist asap. If you can't see one today, seek care in an urgent care facility or the er at your local hospital.

You are right: To be concerned & should seek care in immediate future with an oral & maxillofacial surgeon. That being said, i don't want you to be alarmed. Things you should look out for - fever/chills, nausea/vomiting, pain on swallowing, difficulty swallowing, severe limited range of motion, stridor, malaise, swelling that has progressed & is traveling from one side of neck to midline & across.
