Bull Bug Bite ?: I'm hoping that your daughter was bitten on the bottom of the foot by a bug and not a bull. I fear that if a bull bit her foot, you would already be in the nearest trauma center. The swelling is do a reaction to a foreign protein involved in the bite tissue. Application if ice and elevation should help. Because of her age and body mass, a visit to the emergency department might be considered.
