A member asked:

I tested positive on the ana test. i have joint pain, wbc and rbc in urine without bacteria. what could it be?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See Rheumatologist: The antinuclear antibody test is a highly specific test used to diagnose Lupus and other potentially severe autoimmune diseases. There are several autoimmune diseases that will cause an ANA test to go positive, as well as some harmless conditions( false positive). See your GP immediately to get a referral to a Rheumatologist and have your condition diagnosed and treated, if necessary
