Need an exam : Generally if you're experiencing worsening symptoms at day 3 following a tooth extraction, you should follow up with your providing surgeon to make sure you are not having any post operative complications like a dry socket. You should especially call or see your doctor if you develop a fever. It's also important to follow instructions your doctor gave you following the procedure. Best of luck.

See Surgeon: Don't poke at the white ball. Call the Dental Surgeon that removed the tooth. You may need some additional treatment.

See your dentist: Dry socket after tooth extraction is one of the most dreaded tooth extraction complications. The average healing time is 7-14 days, but in some cases it may take weeks, antibiotics and packing the socket. See your dentist for dry socket treatment. Get well soon!
