Losing weight: Eat healthfully. Try to eat at least 5 servings of vegetables & 4 of fruit per day. Increase nutritional fiber. Avoid refined sugar & junk carbohydrates. Avoid alcohol, sweetened juices, soda & caffeinated beverages. Aim for 7.5 to 8 hrs of sleep / night. Hydrate w at least 64 oz of water / day. Calories burned must > calories consumed. Do both cardio & weight training. Good Luck !

Lower carb diet: Cut back on refined carbs, starch, & sugar. So less rice, potatoes, bread, candies, desserts, etc. Eat more green, non-starchy veggies, & more nuts & beans. Eat more protein & fat - but you can choose leaner healthier protein & healthier oils & fats (choose monounsaturated & polyunsaturated oils, etc). And, of course, limit portions & keep exercising. And you should get some medical labs done

Sleep-Diet-Activity: Be sure to look at your diet, both total calories and the kinds of food you eat. Also, be sure that you are getting proper rest. Continue to stay active as regular exercise remains important for managing your weight.
