Ask your doctor: As part of a tummy tuck procedure, the muscles are tightened. You should ask you plastic surgeon to be sure, but you should not have to do abdominal muscle tightening exercises as the surgery has already accomplished this. In fact, doing abdominal exercises could actually do damage to the surgery by causing the sutures that tightened your muscles to break. Ask your plastic surgeon!!!!!

Ask Surgeon...: Given that you have had surgery relatively recently, your plastic surgeon will be your best guide when it comes to returning to specific exercise/activities. Generally speaking, a gradual ('listen to your body") return to cardiovascular/weightlifting/flexibility exercises along with a careful attention to healthy diet, will help you achieve/maintain the best long-term results possible. Best wishes

Don't focus too: much on direct abdominal work! you can still irritate your fascial sutures...A sport like tennis, swimming running etc would be best.

Best exercise: The best exercise to tone your tummy is one that focuses on cardiovascular fitness. I recommend low weight and high rep weights, and I want people to avoid focused abdominal exercises like crunches or leg lifts. Remember, the best form of exercise is to control your diet!
