Anyone ever have footdrop after delivery?

Yes: That can happen from excessive pressure on outside of the leg, compressing one of the nerves to the foot. This can be from the lateral leg resting on stirrups or even from the pressure of your own hands holding your leg while pushing. Most nerve injuries resolve on their own, but you should ask your OB to refer you to a neurologist for evaluation and perhaps physical therapy.

Yes: Postpartum foot drop is caused by damage to the lumbosacral nerve trunk or, less frequently, the common peroneal nerve.
