Drop foot: The inability to properly lift the forefoot when walking causing abnormality in heel strike portion of gait. Most often caused by damage or disease to nerve damage or muscle weakness/damage.

It's due 2 a nerve. : ...Injury usually. A herniated disk effecting the L5 nerve root . This inervates the muscles that lift the front of ur foot and dorsiflexors of the ankle. If mild u may find ur self tripping on nothing since ur toes don't quite clear the floor as u swing ur leg forward while walking. Severe means u r unable 2 move the ankle indorsiflexion @ all, giving u a high stepping gait ; u then flop the foot.
