Edema: Healthy venous return depends on muscular contractions that are no longer available due to the drop foot. Therefore there is increased pressure in the veins and fluid leaks into the surrounding tissue. A vein compression stocking will help.

Yes : Since there is lack of muscle strength the fluid is not pushed out of the tissue or blood vessels properly.
