Worth checking: There are several things those symptoms could be, but with the swelling and pain you should be seen today to be evaluated for a blood clot in the veins of your leg. Hopefully it turns out tone something less serious.

YES!: I don't know if you have any specific risk for venous blood clots, but your symptoms are very suggestive of DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis). DVT is the most common cause of pulmonary embolism, a VERY serious condition. While there are a few conditions that mimic DVT, don't delay in getting medical care. If you can't get an appointment with your primary doctor today, go to the nearest ER.

Quick, Quick: Sudden calf pain with no history of trauma is definitely a symptom that needs to be evaluated and right soon. Get to a doctor as soon as possible. You might be experiencing the effects of a blood clot in the leg.
