Uvulitis: Uvulitis is a viral infection of the uvula. It can also be caused by irritation from mucous from allergies, but you said you aren't having these symptoms. It should pass on its own. From personal experience, the worst part is the continuous feeling that there is something in your throat that you need to swallow. NSAIDS or tylenol (acetaminophen) can help this feeling.
