Chronic pancreatitis: Is your pancreatitis currently showing up as abnormal labs and/or ongoing inflammation seen on CT scan? In that case, you may have what is called: chronic pancreatitis. This can have many causes including pancreatic divisum, and autoimmune pancreatitis. Special lab tests can check for autoimmune pancreatitis. Further exam of the pancreas by an Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) may also needed.
