Last yr i had 15 x-ray views, a hida scan, 3 fluoro. sessions & 2 cts - all abdominal. i have an optional ct planned. how risky is this; avoid?

Radiation risk: The hypothetical radiation risk of a single CT scan is minimal. That said, the risk is cumulative over a lifetime, so the decision to perform imaging with ionizing radiation is always a risk/benefit analysis. You can calculate your hypothetical lifetime risk for all of your studies with a simple tool at xrayrisk.com. I'm not sure what you mean by an "optional" CT CT scan.
