A member asked:

Both sides of inguinal nodes in my groin are swollen and painful. no other symptoms. blood tests inconclusive. dr. order pelvic ultrasound. riskofstd?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Maybe: This used to happen to me in the summers from going barefoot in the country. The sexually transmitted disease of concern would be lymphogranuloma venereum -- which is quite uncommon. Glad the labs were unremarkable. This isn't usually a sign of pathology in your internal pelvic organs, but the ultrasound isn't unreasonable. This might be something just to watch. Best wishes.
