See a physician: As with most dislocated joints, a dislocated jaw can usually be successfully positioned into its normal position by a trained medical professional (ENT, orthopedics, oromaxillofacial surgeon). Attempts to readjust the jaw without the assistance of a medical professional could result in worsening of the injury. http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/000019.htm

Visit ER: A broken jaw or dislocated jaw can create problems with eating and breathing and functioning in general. It requires immediate medical attention to minimize future complications and initiate healing. Visit ER or urgent care.

May be: May be displaced or fractured jaw. If not treated immediately can heal incorrectly and be longer/harder to resolve. Ask your Dentist to refer you to an Oral Surgeon. Your problem is right in their wheelhouse.
