Most bariatric surgeons will insist you try losing weight in a weight loss group for at least 6 months first because there are risks involved with the surgery and malabsorption afterwards. Decrease your caloric intake by 300-500kcal daily to lose one pound a week. That is about one candy bar or bag of chips or a few cokes. Drink only water. Exercise.
