Hypersensitivity: Either a hypersensitivity reaction to the bite or an early infection. Try benadryl (diphenhydramine) for itching and 1 % hydrocortisone cream on the bite itself. If you develop pain, fever, red streak up your arm or leg, or it continues to enlarge, see your primary care physician. If you feel swelling in your throat, difficulty breathing, wheezing, lightheadedness, 911.
