Cat bite: Cat bites get infected more often than not. The bacteria in cat's' mouths and their needle-like teeth almost insure that the bite will become infected. Just because your husband had C. diff doesn't necessarily mean that you will get it. My advice is to call the doctor who prescribed the Augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate) and tell him or her your concerns. Best wishes.
