Not normal: Hi. Is his calcium high again now too? Primary hyperparathyroidism is usually due to a solitary parathyroid adenoma, but cases of multiple gland adenomas and of hyperplasia affecting all 4 glands also occur. If he's hypercalcemic and PTH is high again, he probably has multiple adenomas or hyperplasia. It sounds like he needs ongoing evaluation and further treatment. Good luck!
