Yes: Pth is a simple blood test that could rule in or out diagnosis of hyperparathyroidism. If high must see an endocrinologist.

High calcium: Yes, you should surely get your PTH level checked. If it is high, you may need to have one, or more, of your parathyroid glands removed. If it is low, you still need to be worked up for the reason behind your elevated c. Other causes of high c are hyperthyroidism, vitamin d intoxication, bone tumors among others. See a doctor and find the cause of your high c level as soon as possible. Good luck.
