Mononucleosis: In the acute phase, roughly the first two weeks, when the symptoms of sore throat and enlarged lymph nodes are present, it is clear that going to school is not a good idea. After that, it is more of a personal risk, enlarged spleen and liver and possible damage to them. Also, since there is no treatment for EBV (mono), your body need A LOT of rest and fluids and pampering to fight this disease.
