Folliculitis: Sounds like infection around the hair follicles (the tiny "root" from which your hair grows) Get a anti-bacterial soap (eg: "PhisoDerm") and an antibacterial ointment eg: Bacitracin) and apply after a bath. If problem persists see your Primary Care Provider (PCP) Hope this helps! Dr Z

Need to see a doc: Not an uncommon problem. This is obviously an infection and requires antibiotics. This could be folliculitis or infection of the hair follicles. Usually caused by staph and sometimes MRSA which is harder to treat. Also caused by shaving. Time to get into a doctor.
