Cart vs horse: Vascular brain injury is a known complication of heart surgery. The longer the operation, the higher the risk. The subject is far too complex to discuss in detail here, but the damage can be too subtle to detect on MRI or CT scans. Speculation=>1) it was vascular CNS injury that MIMICS NPH; or 2) you already HAD early subclinical NPH that was “unmasked” by the injury. Is the Dx of NPH confirmed?
