My grandmother, father, and brother all have psoriasis, is it likely that I will get it too?

Maybe: It is more likely than the general population. 70 per cent of people with psoriasis have a family history of psoriasis. With multiple family members it is possible but not 100%.

Unknown: Unfortunately, there is no definitive answer to your inquiry. Potentially for the rest of their lives is the reality of the nature of 'brotherhood'. There may be periods of competition, rivalry, arguing, etc...As long as the love between them is emphasized; and they should be taught that respect of one another is of paramount importance; then "brothers will be brothers" as they say.

Coming from a family of 5 boys, I can testify that sibling rivalry can last a lifetime. That doesn't mean it's a bad thing, but competition among siblings is common and probably normal. If it causes major rifts, then that needs to be addressed.

A 42-year-old member asked:

Will cymbalta (duloxetine) stay in my body long enough to taper itself?

2 doctor answers8 doctors weighed in
Dr. Samuel Miles
Psychiatry 47 years experience
Variable speed: When one stops taking a drug like cymbalta, (duloxetine) it will leave the body through metabolism and excretion. If it leaves the system too rapidly, a discontinuation syndrome may occur, including vertigo and flu like symptoms. The rate at which the drug leaves the system varies from person to person. So, i always recommend a taper instead of abrupt discontinuation when someone is taking a higher dose.
