Finger slice: That is a deep wound for a finger. More than half way thru. I recommend you be seen asap.

Yes: It sounds like you have a laceration which should be sutured. And you probably passed out from the sight of blood and excitement - called vaso-vagal syncope. If the wound is really 1 cm deep it should be evaluated. Seek medical attention.
