Not diabetes: Hi. That value (116) would only be diagnostic if it were FASTING. A random (non-fasting) glucose of 116 is not abnormal. If your glucose of 116 was fasting, it's still not diabetes, but falls into the "impaired fasting glucose (IFG)" category (100-125 range). IFG is considered "pre diabetes", and has a higher rate of progression to diabetes. Eat a healthy diet and exercise regularly. Good luck!

Not diabetes: based on that one reading. A hba1c neasures overall blood sugar for the past 3 monthsand will tell if normal, prediabetic, or diabetic.
