Residual tissue: With a partial hysterectomy, there can be some glands left behind in the cervix that still function like a uterus. These are responsive to hormones and can bleed. This could also be a sign of cervical dysplasia (abnormal cells) or infection. I recommend that you see a gynecologist soon to have this evaluated as it can be serious and it is treatable.
