Can imodium (loperamide) be used long term? it really helps on days my ibs goes haywire, it helps a lot. actually out of all i've tried it's only one that works

Not recommended: Taking imodium (loperamide) daily could eventually lead to constipation, obstruction and severe digestive problems. Finding out more information by reviewing your history, physical and tests would more likely be the best advice when considering irritable bowel syndrome. Please see your doctor when you can.
