I quit smoking but now can't stop eating?

It can be controlled: A smoking cessation program should be part of each and every person's smoking cessation plan, because they will give you information on how to deal with increased appetite, which happens in almost everyone who quits smoking. Simple techniques - drinking lots of water to fill the stomach, use of carrot or celery sticks can help. Medication can also help in some cases. It is still a good decision!!

Chantix: Controls nicotine cravings and appetite. So does naltrexone but less so. Other meds also useful.

Dont start back: You are a nicotine addict. Your subconscious wants you to start smoking. You are having withdrawal. Food temporarily helps. HOWEVER, you need to pick your fail points. Men want someone to tell them to start smoking again. The wife says "you are getting fat" etc. Be especially careful about how you treat others. What will you do when they say "I liked you better nicer when you smoked.
