Hello. Ive been having blood mixed in stool for last 2 years. Got 2 colonoscopies. 3mm adenoma found on last one. Could a polyp have been missed?
When should I repeat my colonoscopy with a finding of 5mm tuberous adenoma found in the transverse colon? This is the first time I've had a polyp. Should it be in 3 or 5 years, the Dr didn't say and the nurse mentioned the 3 to 5-year time span?

My 69 year old mom had a colonoscopy. Dr removed 2polyps but did not send them for biopsy. He recommended 3yrs instead of 5 to repeat colonoscopy. Can he determine if its adenomas just by looking at polyps? Thanks ?
