A member asked:

Had a colonoscopy 3 years ago and had 14 polyps, 2 were adenomas. had another colonoscopy 1 year ago and had 6 polyps. 1 was an adenoma. im losing weight now quit smoking and am eating healthy. is it possible for the amount of polyps to be even less?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes you can develop more polyps which then must be removed. The goal is to be free of anymore polyps over the next 5 years. Follow the recommendations from your gastroenterologist as to when you should get your colon check done next?. I would favor another Colonoscopy in 2-3 years time.
