Pink: Healthy gums in an adult male should be pink. Overly red gums can indicate gingivitis, and grey or black gums can indicate other problems. In terms of brushing, the speed isn't so important, just be sure to brush for 2 minutes at a time, brush 3 times a day, and avoid sugary foods as much as possible. Also see your dentist every 6 months for a checkup. Hope this helps!

Pink is good: Pink is a healthy color, for either a male or female. Brush for TWO minutes, fast or slow is not the issue. Brushing properly and thoroughly is more important.
