Hashimoto's: Hashimoto's disease often leads to hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid). Check out http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/hashimotos-disease/basics/definition/con-20030293 & http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/hypothyroidism/basics/definition/con-20021179. Unfortunately, symptoms can be vague & nonspecific. Worse, there's wide range of normal. Ask for higher dose then recheck TSH.

So I have Hashimotos thyroiditis and I use to take my Synthroid but stopped once I had my gastric sleeve. Because my levels went back to normal should I go head and start back up on my meds and still have my labs for Tsh drawn regularly?
Is there a cure for hashimotos? If not, how is it managed? I'm on Synthroid (thyroxine) and armour combo, tests normal, but little relief of symptoms.
