So i have hashimotos thyroiditis and i use to take my synthroid but stopped once i had my gastric sleeve. because my levels went back to normal should i go head and start back up on my meds and still have my labs for tsh drawn regularly?

Once you take synthroid for hypothyroidism you will need this med indefinitely. Yes, you need to retake it then have TSH level done in 3 months.

What causes Hashimotos? I only found out I have it cause I had post partum thyroiditis. One of the antibodies was slightly positive. TSH normal.
