A member asked:

What diseases could cause a young woman with hashimotos to have gastroparesis and pots and pots symptoms worsen with synthroid.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No relationship : There's no direct relationship between gastroparesis and Hashimoto's thyroiditis. Some patients with autoimmune thyroid disease have diabetes mellitus which can be a cause of gastroparesis. Synthroid should have no direct effect on causing symptoms of gastroparesis.
