YES! Very common!: When doing exposure therapy, u are facing your biggest fears! The primitive parts of your brain - the parts that don't speak but grunt! - go crazy! They can't understand what u are doing. For them, it's like u are running in front of traffic or toward a growling bear! If you work w/an anxiety expert, the expert will help u come up w/ a plan that helps you achieve your goals in progressive steps.
