Gravity: When you are up and active, the muscles tend to compress the uterus, and menstruation is mostly liquid and the opening at the bottom of the uterus. When you lay down, the menstruation will tend to pool in the uterus overnight until you get up. That is actually pretty normal, but not often talked about by young girls. Perhaps you can help one of your friends who thinks there is something wrong.
