Good question!: What happens over time is not so much that they get deeper The dermis layer starts shrinking and getting thinner, so it appears to do so, when in reality as we age, by the time we're 40, almost equivalent % of collagen has shrunk down. You could benefit from having laser genesis, or something that will rebuild your collagen matrix over time (not cheap) but very rewarding as it flattens your scar.
