NO: Tyrosine is aminoacid precursor for synthesis of thyroid hormones : T4 & T3 (liothyronine). 2 molecules of Iodo tyrosine ( Iodide + Tyrosine) = Diiodotyrosine..( DIT ) DIT + DIT = Thyroxine - T4 DIT + Mono Iodotyrosine (MIT ) = T3 (liothyronine).
