Does cystitis ever really go awa?

Yes and no: If by cystitis you mean episodic bladder infections then yes it will go away after treatment usually with an antibiotic. However, if by cystitis you mean interstitial cystitis then no, there is at present no cure for this disease just treatments which can make it better for a while.

Yes: cystitis or UTI often spontaneously resolves but is often treated with antibiotics which usually makes it stop in 48 hours or less. finishing the 5-7 day course of antibiotics probably decreases the chances for recurrence in most instances.

Yes: My wife says everything worked until she got married. Cysitis is much more common when you are sexually active and urinating right after sex to wash out the bacteria helps. you can also take an antibiotic after sex. Discuss other options with your doctor. Some patients get relief from a urethral dilitation. Long term macrodantin (nitrofurantoin) is an option.

AwayWithYouStinkPee!: In rare instances, the body fights it off. Otherwise you need an antibiotic. You could try the Health Store methods, but good luck. OK,so, it can and probably will come back if the conditions that provoked it are not changed. Like tight nylon undies, sitting too long, wiping back to front, stress, sex, chemicals (soaps, cleansers, etc) excess dryness, structural changes, etc. Or something else....
